NAME: Luc du Lac Duarte AGE: Thirty RACE: Human CLASS: Paladin (Oath of Devotion) BACKGROUND: Noble Luc du Lac Duarte was born to a forgotten legacy, the heir to the throne of Silverlake, a kingdom once bathed in the silvery glow of the Moonmaiden, Selûne. His father, King Luan Duarte, was a ruler beloved for his wisdom, compassion, and devotion to the goddess of the moon. Under his reign, Silverlake flourished as a beacon of peace and equality, where people of all walks of life found refuge and comfort. The kingdom's culture and laws were deeply entwined with Selûne's ethos: to act with compassion, to stand firm in the face of darkness, and to uphold the light of justice and equality for all. The people of Silverlake revered the moon as a symbol of hope, and the kingdom prospered in harmony with the land, the stars, and each other. But this serenity was shattered when the forces of the apostate Ketheric Thorm, leader of an army of Dark Justiciars, descended upon the kingdom. Thorm, with his army of fanatical followers, demanded that the people of Silverlake forsake their worship of Selûne and swear allegiance to Shar, the Mistress of the Night. When King Luan Duarte refused to submit, Thorm's wrath was swift and merciless. Silverlake fell in a torrent of swords and shadow. The kingdom was razed, its temples desecrated, and its people slaughtered, as the Dark Justiciars left nothing but Lady Shar's all-consuming darkness in their wake. Luc, a child at the time, was smuggled away from the devastation by Eirian, an elderly Moon knight, one of the last of her order. Eirian had served as a loyal protector to King Luan and vowed to ensure that the bloodline of Silverlake would endure, even if the kingdom itself was lost to the twin sisters' eternal war. From this day forth, Eirian raised Luc in secret, teaching him not only the ways of combat but the sacred tenets of Selûne. From his guardian, protector, and mentor, Luc learned the Old Code — a knight's promise to live with honor, integrity, and devotion to the light. The moonlit teachings of Selûne became the foundation of Luc's identity, a beacon in the darkness, guiding him toward his true destiny: to restore Silverlake and bring its light back to the world. By the time Luc came of age, Eirian had passed on, but the torch had been passed as well — Luc was no longer a squire but a knight of the Old Code, sworn to uphold the ideals of justice, truth, and mercy. His oath, however, was not just one of chivalry — it was a sacred bond to Selûne herself, one of true devotion. Luc became a paladin, a holy warrior dedicated to the Moonmaiden's teachings, and his renown spread across the Sword Coast. He was known for his unyielding protection of travelers at night, guiding them safely through the dangers of the dark, defending the innocent, and standing against the forces of evil that threatened to smother the light of the moon. But as the years wore on, the pull of the Lost Selûnite Outpost in the Underdark called to Luc, a forgotten bastion of Selûne's faithful, hidden deep beneath the surface of Faerûn. The location was known only through the whispers of the wind, the tides of fate, and the ancient tomes of the Order of the Moonknights. Legends spoke of an ancient sanctuary where Selûne's light had once blessed the Underdark, and Luc believed that if he could reclaim the Outpost, he could gather crucial intelligence and resources to ultimately restore Silverlake's influence and reclaim its lost throne. His quest led him into the heart of the Underdark, where the shadows were deepest and the horrors most vile. Luc faced countless dangers, battling through twisted tunnels, fending off monstrous creatures, and uncovering forgotten secrets of an age long past. Despite the overwhelming odds, he never wavered in his devotion, his heart burning with the light of Selûne. His journey, however, would come to an untimely and unexpected end in the ancient, hallowed halls of the Selûnite Outpost, before he could complete his broader mission to liberate Silverlake. Surrounded by creatures of the dark and harried by forces beyond his reckoning, Luc fought valiantly, never yielding an inch in defense of the sacred place. His sword was bright with moonlight, and his resolve was unshakable, but the darkness was too great. In the end, Luc fell defending those ancient halls, tragically unable to fulfill his ultimate destiny to rid Silverlake of the darkness that had swallowed it. His body was discovered by a band of adventurers, untouched by decay, bathed in an ethereal glow — a glow that witnesses swore was the genuine light of Selûne, despite the endless shadows of the Underdark. Luc's final breath was a prayer, his oath of devotion unbroken, even in death. |

PARTY NAME: NAME: NAME: Minthara HIRELINGS NAME: Ásgeir FACE CLAIM: Arnas FedaraviΔius (πͺ) RACE: Human CLASS: Barbarian (Berserker) BACKGROUND: Outlander Ásgeir, slayer of people, monsters, and cups of sweet pear tea, emerged from the ransacked ruins of his village — a survivor whose rage burned with the memory of Absolutist destruction. To those of his people who survived, he was a legend reborn from the ashes like a phoenix; to the Absolutists, a nightmare hunting their most hidden paths. When tracking their scattered forces through the treacherous valleys of Chionthar, he was ultimately shown a watery grave — dousing his fury. NAME: Soren Bastian Oakheart FACE CLAIM: Daniel Sharman (πΉ) RACE: Human CLASS: Ranger (Hunter) BACKGROUND: Tracker Soren spent his twilights scribbling odes to leafy canopies, bushels, and the merits of the noble hedgehog, and spent his long days walking between worlds — neither fully of civilization nor completely wild, but masterfully navigating both. Descended from a line of rangers who guarded borderlands, he carried the weight of ancestral duty. When he refused to join the Absolute, its forces tore his forest and body apart. NAME: Mordred Blackfyre FACE CLAIM: Ben Barnes (β‘οΈοΈ) RACE: Human CLASS: Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline) BACKGROUND: Outcast Draconic magic ran strong in the Blackfyre line, but none stronger than in Mordred, the seventh son of a seventh son whose birth heralded fiery storms of prophetic significance. An outcast by necessity as his powers grew beyond control, he wandered the Sword Coast seeking mastery over gifts that threatened to consume him. The Absolute's agent who ended his life did so with grim wit, remarking "Probably should've left it at six" – last words that proved prophetic when Mordred's death unleashed a surge of wild draconic magic that claimed them both. NAME: Natasya Villers FACE CLAIM: Millie Brady (π‘) RACE: Human CLASS: Rogue (Thief) BACKGROUND: Urchin Surviving the streets of Baldur's Gate taught young Natasya to turn her blindness into an advantage, developing an uncanny ability to navigate by sound and touch that made her an exceptional thief despite her disability. The village that took her in promised safety among fellow outcasts and became more than a refuge – it became hope. When a True Soul curing her lost sight, she wept with joy at seeing the faces of her newfound family. That joy turned to horror as they forced her to witness every moment of the village's destruction, each death and burning building seared into her perfect new vision. Such was the price of refusing the Absolute. Now, every time Natasya closes her eyes, she sees those flames again, and sometimes wishes for the darkness that once protected her from such memories. NAME: River Greenbriar FACE CLAIM: Olivia Cooke (π³) RACE: Wood Elf CLASS: Druid (Circle of the Land) BACKGROUND: Healer River was a refined druid and nomadic wood elf who journeyed across Faerûn, offering her healing hands to all in need, mending wounds both seen and unseen. Rich merchants, ambitious noblemen, and even kings themselves would offer her chests of gold, rare jewels, and permanent positions of honor to stay, yet she consistently refused, treating princes and impoverished small folk with the same tender compassion. Driven by an unbreakable connection to nature and a commitment to serving those most in need, her healing transcended wealth and status, moving where suffering was greatest — until Absolutist marauders dealt her a wound she could not heal.ββββββββββββββββ NAME: Vladislav FACE CLAIM: Thomas Doherty (πΆ) RACE: Dusk Elf CLASS: Bard (College of Swords) BACKGROUND: Vampire Spawn The song of Vladislav's life began in Barovia's noble courts, where his masterful performances caught first the attention of lesser nobles, then unwittingly captured the eye of Tatyana's latest reincarnation. Her interest in the charming young man inevitably drew the attention of Strahd himself. Recognizing the danger in the vampire lord's growing interest, he orchestrated his own disappearance, fleeing to Baldur's Gate where his Barovian accent and repertoire of darkly romantic ballads, sorrowful tales of tragedy, and darkly satirical songs made him the toast of society. Yet his talent for captivating audiences drew another predator's eye – Cazador, who saw in Vladislav's artistry the perfect tool for luring prey. Centuries passed as he used his voice to seduce victims with the same songs that once earned honest applause, each performance a calculated trap, until eventually, his centuries-long aria reached its grand finale when an Absolute bloodbutcher silenced his controversial new composition during a performance at the Helm and Cloak tavern. |
